Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House it is a performing arts centre located in Bennelong Point. It was built the 20 October  1973, and it includes a concert hall, a theatre, a playhouse, a studio and many rooms. The Sydney Opera House is one of the most important buildings in the world, and was designed by the architect Jorn Utzon. This man was born in 1918 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and studied architecture at a very important art and architecture school in Denmark.

During the construction of the Sydney Opera House, there were many problems with money and politics, so Jorn left the project in 1966 and never returned to Australia. The building was finally completed in 1973, based on his original design. In 2007, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can go by different transports. For example by train, you can go to Circular Quay Station that is a 5-10 minutes walk from the Opera House. From here you can catch Sydney Trains services on several lines that serve the city, making it easy to arrive at the Opera House. You can also go by bus, in the Circular Quay Bus Terminus many bus routes stop there walking a short distance from the Opera House. Routes like 333, 304, 392X, 396 terminate or stop near Circular Quay. Also you can go by ferry, Circular Quay Wharves are the nearest ferry terminals and are a 7–8 minute walk from the Sydney Opera House.

These are the prices to go in it: if you are an adult you would pay AUD 48 (that are like 34$), if you are a child betweeen 5 and 15 years AUD 28 (19 $) and children under 5 years old your ticket is free. Also there are family offers, if you are 2 adults and two children of 15 years or less, you have to pay AUD 124 (88 $).

Also if you have an Opera House membership you can save money. You can get a discount of between 10 and 20% on tickets, food and drinks, tours, and shops. So I recommend you a lot to visit it!
